This Thursday 07.05.2015 I will be giving a talk about my practice and work in progress at Chat/1, in the Rose Lipman Building (43 De Beauvoir Road, London N1 5SQ) from 7 - 9pm.  Chat is a project and series of events set up by Kathrin Bonnar that looks at the effects and benefits of varying conversation on developing art works. Chat event/1 will see Kathrin Bonnar, Matthew Edwards, Patricia Pisanelli and Cherelle Sappleton introduce and open out a discussion about their work in progress for I'm not done/2 - an exhibition to be held at Yinka Shonibare's Guest Projects in September 2015. This will coincide with a temporary installation of/space to share unresolved works/ideas from additional artists who applied to an open call. This will take place for one evening only. There was no selection process for this, but space was limited and allocated on a first come first serve basis via email. Additional artists : Graeme Durant, Sarah Fortais, Aiko Kubo, Vicky Lysons, Bex Massey, Tara Benjamin-Morgan, Tera Pechmannova, Chris Stokes, Katerina Strasser, Nye Thompson, Mariya Ustymenko, Ker Wallwork and Lillian Wilkie. The event hopes to present transparently thoughts running through the project I’m not done, whilst giving artists a space to share varying un-finished work. The event is free, informal, and everyone is welcome whether you just want to take a look, want to ask questions about I’m not done projects or generally join in conversation. This is an opportunity to engage with I’m not done projects during the open call period (1st April – 15th May 2015) for I’m not done/2 at Guest Projects in September 2015. Additional artists for I’m not done/2 will be selected by project curators Kathrin Bonnar and Cherelle Sappleton and announced on 5th June 2015.
