I have an installation in Tender Stems, a group show in Manchester curated by PaintingWriting, part of A Modest Show. Based on painting in the expanded field, the show includes painting, sculpture, photography, installation, performance and film. It uses as a starting point the text "Tender Buttons" by Gertrude Stein (1914).

Join us to celebrate the launch of SYSTEMS - Science Gallery Dublin’s first ‘paper exhibition’ - with a curated artists' discussion.
In a time of heightened global crisis, the systems that shape our world are becoming increasingly fragile. While ecosystems are being destroyed, political processes are being manipulated, economic structures exploited and personal networks eroded, all of which are further exacerbated by our increased dependency on technological and automated systems.
Yet how much do we really know of these systems? How are they all connected, and what are the infrastructures and networks upon which they are built? How do we find out? How can we navigate, probe, critique and challenge them?
SYSTEMS: User or used? is a unique, limited-edition publication, designed and produced by Science Gallery Dublin. It marks the evolution of an exhibition we had been planning to showcase in person - this COVID-adapted exhibition-in-a-box is a reimagined way of exploring and untangling the many complex systems, both visible and invisible, that surround us.
To celebrate Thursday’s launch of the publication, join Jenni MacNeill in conversation with curator Francis Halsall and artists Paul O'Neill, Sarah Grant and Patricia Pisanelli.

"Matter" is now on at the county hall gallery, open Mon-Fri until February 2019. Info and text below.
WeCollect, SpainNow and SCAN are pleased to announce the opening of Matter, a group show with works by 13 international artists living and working in London: Holly Hendry, Ernesto Cánovas, Gracjana Rejmer, Robert Cervera, Patricia Pisanelli, Alan Sastre, Nora Aurrekoetxea, Antoine Langenieux-Villard, Silvia Lerín, Pablo Castañeda, Saelia Aparicio, Kristian Kragelund, Pablo A. Padilla Jargstorf. The exhibition opens on Tuesday 15th of January at the County Gallery, County Hall, London.
Matter is the word for physical substance; it occupies space and possesses mass. At the same time matter is a subject for consideration, what happened, an incident, an episode; it is only a matter of time. But then again matter is also active, a state of significance, possibly fleeting; some things matter; it matters to me. All three matter meanings are linked by a thread of weight or a measure of significance. If material matters, if it is worthy of consideration, it may be as register of the development of an idea, or line of work. Reasoning is the act of thinking about something in a logical manner; material reasoning might be a manner or practice of thinking through material investigation, repetition, play or studio procedures.
The artists participating in Matter pursue varied practices but share an interest in investigation of material and work matter with and against meaning. Material and apparent meaning sometimes align, but not always; matters are not what they seem. Like Peter Pan’s shadow, meaning can slip off, come unstuck. Peter’s shadow comes off when he flies out a closing window. What kind of synthesis occurs when meaning breaks loose?
Matter holds meaning, and lets it go. The thought moves on. The material remains, on the floor, the table, the wall. Maybe a new process begins.
New Materialisms places matter at the centre of art practice and emphasises production over discourse and preferences the value of physicality and materiality over conceptual models based on language or syntax.
Matter is what we see, and what we use to make. The works in Matter explore the possibilities of making and of material and play thoughtfully with what matters.

Ab/Anbar is pleased to present “Jabberwocky” group exhibition of international artists “Matthew Humphreys, Christine Kettaneh, Mira Avarzamani, Patricia Pisanelli, Nooshin Farhid, Jakob Rowlinson and Yi Dai.”
Jabberwocky |ˈdʒabəˌwɒki| is a nonsensical poem written by Lewis Carroll taken from his book, Through the Looking Glass, which was written in 1871 as a sequel to Alice in Wonderland. The plot centers on Alice's discovery of a book written in an intelligible language and today, Jabberwocky is lauded as one of the greatest nonsense poems ever written in the English language due to its playful, whimsical and witty use of words.
Taking this poem as a point of departure, the exhibition Jabberwocky explores performativity of dialogue and language through the works of seven international artists. These artist's preoccupation with language position it as a self-analysing structure, a source of political, metaphysical and even sexual emancipation. Through a mix of high and low-brow culture, ribald humor and esoteric discourse, this exhibition also seeks to address 'the voice' as a political act whilst considering the materiality and origin of language, as well as transcultural and trans-disciplinary questions of language. Through a selection of sculptures, artist books, drawings, installations, performances, poetry and videos, spectators are able to experience the emotional, social and political potential of language and its cognition.`
And here is the press release.

Some more of my meaty artworks and words are featured in the new issue of Less Common magazine (the food aesthetic issue, of course!)
I have been featured in "Artists at Work" a publication by Jason Haynes which explores a multitude of scenarios about how artists relate their practice to their place of work.
The publication also features "Place of Work" - an exhibition curated by Sarah Barrett and I at East Street Arts Project Space (London) in July/2013. Here's the link!
